Total knee replacement for surgical technologists?

I have to do a report on total hip and knee surgery. Problem is is that i have never seen one. So i was wondering what is the positioning of the patient for this procedure. I was guessing trendelenburg with stirrups, or supine. and also a beta dine prep as long as the patient doesn't have an iodine allergy. does that sound right? please help. and then the d itself is extremity d with a stockinette. any advice you could throw in would help to
