I am trying to figure out the name of a movie...?

It came out in the 90s I'm pretty sure. It revolves around two teenage sisters living in the Southwest (New Mexico?). The older one is somewhat promiscuous and is looking for love, the younger one isn't but ends up finding it with a young Mexican boy around her age and the sister finally thinks she finds love with a Native American that does some kind of work in a cave but after making love to him one day never sees him again and ends up pregnant. In the end the younger sister discovers that the man who got her sister pregnant didn't abandon her but was killed in an accident. However she decides not to tell her sister until sometime later while her sister has the baby but decides to give it up for adoption. If anyone has ANY idea what movie this is I'd appreciate a little help. THANKS!
