Do I need to take the PSAT?

Right now I'm in 10th grade, but I took the SAT as part of a program(its called rogate, you can google it) in 7th and 8th grade. In 7th grade I got a 1460, and only had taken half of algebra 11,and in 8th I got a 1600, and had only completed half of geometry. Do i really need to take the PSATs this year, or should I wait until next year when it actually counts for something. Also, are those SAT scores good for those ages?
