At what point, according to Christians, does suicide become wrong?

Because, I mean, there are certain scenarios in which it's certainly right (for arguments sake, what Bruce Willis did in Armageddon). But there could also be a scenario in which an alcoholic killing himself would be a good thing, if it's what prevented him from beating his wife. At what point does it become wrong?
